Magnetek’s New CAN-2 Receiver Provides Easy Remote Control of Machinery

MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - March 4, 2013 - Magnetek, Inc., today announced the introduction of their new Enrange™ CAN-2 receiver, which makes adding wireless control to any “CAN-bus” controlled machinery simple and easy.  The CAN-2 has two redundant Machine Stop outputs, two CAN-bus ports, and offers the choice of 400MHz, 900MHz, or 2.4GHz RF channels.  The optional Radio Control Programmer (RCP) allows users to easily program settings from a Windows PC.

“The CAN-2 is a flexible receiver option that can be easily integrated into CAN-based products or products with any CAN-based protocol including J1939, CANOpen, ICP and others,” said Eugene Novak, Magnetek Radio Controls Product Manager. “The small compact design is rugged enough to handle outdoor environments, and the quick response allows for precise control, without the latency found in other radio control systems.”

The CAN-2 is compatible with a variety of Magnetek’s versatile wireless radio controls, including XLTX™, Flex Pro, Flex EM, MLTX2™ and Flex VUE™. Magnetek’s innovative, cost-effective wireless controls are designed to meet customer specifications, reducing internal engineering and manufacturing costs, improving time to market and enhancing equipment performance. The Company designs highly durable systems that are configurable to meet the needs of a variety of industries and applications, including tow trucks, cement trucks, boom trucks, truck cranes, concrete mixers, drill rigs, mining equipment and more.
